SwayamSarthi Foundation is the nonprofit arm of Sai Shiko, making whole-school well-being more accessible in government schools and low-fee private schools.
Our work combines science-backed learning, digital tools, and on-ground capacity building to help schools create safer, more supportive environments for students, educators, counselors, and families.
SwayamSarthi Foundation implements its programs using structured tools, resources, and proprietary frameworks developed by SaiShiko.

The Need: India’s Looming Wellbeing Crisis
India is witnessing a growing mental health crisis, impacting nearly 15% of children and a third of teachers.
(Source: Nimhans). This crisis affects academic performance, social behavior, and future prospects.


NCERT’s Manodarpan Survey indicated high levels of anxiety about
academics, peer pressure, and dissatisfaction with personal life.




Training and National deficit of psychiatrists in India – A critical analysis (2010)
For India, the economic loss due to mental health conditions, between 2012–2030, is estimated at USD 1.03 trillion.
– World Health Organization
Overall, the contribution of mental disorders to the total disease burden in India has doubled since 1990.
1 in 9 adults and 1 in 14 adolescents suffer from mental health conditions requiring care.
Urban metros have 2 to 3 fold higher prevalence.
Treatment gap remains unacceptably high averaging 84.5% (range 70%-92%).
